When we started Mantle, we recognized that cap tables were often managed quite manually. Cap table management either consisted of a private spreadsheet that was saved on someone’s laptop or it was a shared workbook where critical stakeholders (Founders, VCs, and Attorneys) were out of sync. Even when founders did use a cap management SaaS platform, record keeping was often overpriced with no ability to plan and model scenarios.
