A few weeks back, our team had the incredible opportunity to attend and speak at the Google Cloud Next conference in Las Vegas. It was an electrifying experience and we returned from the conference full of new insights, meaningful connections, and a mind buzzing with excitement about the future of AI and cloud technology. Here are some of our key takeaways from the event.
Key Takeaways from Google Cloud Next 2024
Google’s Unwavering Commitment to AI
It’s no secret that Google is doubling down on AI, and the conference made that abundantly clear. Everywhere we turned, AI was the talk of the town. From the main stage to the breakout sessions and public releases, Google left no stone unturned in emphasizing the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future.
Shifting from Theory to Tangible Use Cases
Unlike the previous year’s conference which largely revolved around the theoretical applications of AI, this year’s event showcased a variety of real-world use cases for Gemini. Ranging from consumer-facing to developer-facing use cases, Google Cloud seemed all-in on Gemini and wanted to showcase the “art of the possible” to get every attendee’s mind working on ways to incorporate Gemini into their business and workflows.
This was also evident within Google’s AI instructional booths. Representatives from across many Gemini/AI teams were available for conversations within the Innovator’s Hive and AI Innovation Hub sections. This was a great opportunity to get face-to-face time with the teams working directly on features to provide feedback and learn about what’s coming up next on their roadmap.
Building Bridges with Partners and Customers
Another highlight of the conference was the opportunity to connect with other founders, partners, and prospects. In particular, our team enjoyed our time at the Startup Lounge where we were able to connect with other startup founders and learn about some of the challenges they’re tackling. By offering spaces for attendees to connect, Google Cloud Next provided invaluable networking opportunities which fostered collaboration, idea exchange, and strengthened relationships within the ecosystem.
Mantle at Google Cloud Next 2024
Our co-founder and CTO, Dwayne Forde, had the amazing opportunity to represent Mantle at two speaking opportunities at the conference, including the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) panel and the Google Cloud Partners session where we discussed how we leveraged generative AI using Google Cloud.
Summary of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Panel
The DEI panel discussion was a powerful reminder of the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in driving innovation. It was inspiring to see industry leaders coming together to champion these values and advocate for a more inclusive tech industry.
Summary of Mantle’s Partner Summit Lightning Talk
The opportunity to showcase how Mantle leverages generative AI using Google Cloud as an official Google Cloud Partner was a proud and powerful moment for our team. There was a lot of positive interest following the talk and it’s clear we’re solving real problems for founders.
