For LPs, fund administrators, and the teams supporting them, Mantle Portal has always been where your investment data gets clean, structured, and usable. From Schedule of Investments and capital account statements to K-1s and everything in between, Mantle Portal extracts and normalizes all of it, so nobody has to reconcile spreadsheets by hand.
However, your data doesn’t stop at Mantle Portal. Your data warehouse, BI tool, and internal reporting stack all need the same numbers. Until now, getting them there meant exporting reports and uploading them somewhere else.
The Mantle Portal API closes that gap. It connects your systems directly to the portfolio data you already see in Mantle Portal, so your downstream tools stay current. The best part? No one has to open a spreadsheet to make it happen.
What it does
The Mantle Portal API gives you programmatic access to:
- Portfolio and fund data: positions, commitments, and fair values as tracked in Mantle Portal
- Document metadata: what’s available, when it became available, and where it lives
A few things worth noting about how it’s built:
- Access mirrors Mantle Portal: The API only returns what your organization can already see in Mantle Portal, nothing else.
- You’re in control of access: API keys are issued and managed by your org admins, and can be revoked at any time.
- Flexible scope: Organizations that want portfolio data without document access can configure the API accordingly.
It’s built for teams who want Portal data flowing directly into the systems they already run reporting through — family offices consolidating across GPs, fund administrators automating downstream workflows, and institutional LPs feeding data into internal dashboards.
Security
Security details for IT and compliance review:
- Authenticated, scoped access: Every request is tied to an API key issued to your organization, scoped to what that organization can see in Portal.
- Encrypted in transit: All traffic is encrypted over TLS.
- Rate limited: Requests are protected against abuse at the infrastructure level.
- Revokable: Org admins can roll or revoke API keys at any time, and Mantle can disable access for an organization if needed.
- Audit trail: API requests are logged with a timestamp, key, and data accessed.
